Publicis Groupe Belgium Welcomes Matthieu Vercruysse as Chief Transformation Officer

Publicis Groupe strengthens its leadership team and Expert Board by welcoming Matthieu Vercruysse as Chief Transformation Officer. He brings over 20 years of experience in marketing, media, and business transformation.
Matthieu began his career in Paris at the Lagardère Group during the digital transformation era. He then joined Dentsu in Brussels, where he contributed to digital growth and the integration of booming social media. At Ogilvy (WPP), he played a strategic role in integrating the Belgian startup Social.Lab into the group and launching its entities in London and the Middle East. Two years later, he returned to Brussels to take on an international leadership role at Ogilvy, focusing on strategy and transformation at the European (EMEA) level, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence. To deepen his business expertise in this technological innovation, he recently completed an Executive Program at the MIT School of Management.
In his new role at Publicis Groupe Belgium, Matthieu will work closely with CEO Davy Caluwaerts and the Expert Board to define and implement the group’s transformation strategy across its various areas of expertise. The goal is to drive growth and accelerate innovation while placing the agency’s “People-Obsessed” culture at the heart of all internal and external initiatives.
“I am very excited to join Publicis Groupe at a crucial time for our industry. The agency has all the necessary resources to elevate marketing effectiveness for its client portfolio. This includes the strategic application of AI, an area where the group has established itself as the global leader, as confirmed by the recent announcement of major investments in AI – the highest in the industry. CEO Davy and the talented teams at Publicis Groupe Belgium have demonstrated remarkable resilience, and I share their ambition to build a forward-thinking agency model,” said Matthieu Vercruysse.
Davy Caluwaerts concluded: “Matthieu’s arrival confirms our ambition and our acceleration in AI during the second quarter across all our areas of expertise. It also reflects our commitment to being at the core of the Core A strategy rollout.”
