Head of production

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Production oversees the team, development of mainly digital capabilities, innovation and profitability of the Production capability of Publicis Groupe BE. You are part of the Expert Board.

The Head of Production plays a key role in ensuring PG BE achieves its vision and objectives through effective reform and that the organisation is positioned to meet the current and future demands of its industry, clients and other key stakeholders such as the Publicis Groupe network.

This business currently offers UX/UI, brand design, DTP, Digital production, audio-visual production, including content & SoMe and print production, but it is an ever-evolving skillset delivering high-quality output for agency and direct clients.

  • Work closely with the Chief Transformation Officer to ensure multi-platform projects are delivered efficiently and smoothly.
  • People manager, able to motivate people to excellence.
  • Proven experience in production management within an advertising agency or production company, with a focus on modern production techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as production-specific software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and AI applications to find efficiencies and productivity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of production projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external vendors.
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and resource management, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for production projects while overseeing profitability.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver high-quality work and meet project objectives.
  • You are curious, honest, brave, generous and take ownership. You are ready to help us realize the impossible while having some fun in the process.
  • You have a critical mindset, because you are committed, and want to put it to use to shape progress for brands, people and society.
  • You’re passionate about (digital) media, brands and marketing, with a desire to stay current - even ahead - on industry trends and best practices.
  • You inspire colleagues and clients through your excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are fluent in at least 2 of the following languages: Dutch, French and English.
  • Your background is Digital Production, with minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Develop and implement production strategies that align with the agency's goals and client requirements, with a focus on incorporating modern production techniques.
  • Collaborate with creative leadership to identify and resolve any production-related issues or challenges that may arise during the creative process, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in production to leverage innovative approaches and enhance the agency's capabilities.
  • Manage and coordinate the production workflow together with the Head of Operations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Oversee the sourcing and management of production vendors, ensuring quality control, cost-effectiveness, and deadlines of production projects.
  • Collaborate with client teams to forecast resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for production projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and industry standards regarding intellectual property rights, copyright laws, and usage rights for all produced assets.
  • Mentor and coach production team members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to improve overall performance and skill development.
