The case study

For many families, the back-to-school season can be quite stressful. Returning to work, buying school supplies, preparing meals, dealing with traffic, and a multitude of other tasks can quickly become overwhelming. Carrefour understands this challenge and wants to reassure Belgian families that they are committed to making this period as smooth and stress-free as possible.

At Carrefour, you’ll find everything you need for a calm and affordable back-to-school season. This theme is at the heart of the 360-degree campaign developed by Publicis Groupe, which includes a TV commercial, online videos, OOH and DOOH ads, social media, radio, display banners, and a spectacular event activation in the center of Brussels.

The TV commercial, airing from late August, depicts light-hearted scenes of families cheerfully preparing for the school year. Whether you’re looking for healthy snacks, budget-friendly treats, or simply pressed for time, Carrefour has you covered. With fruits and vegetables under €1, Carrefour products at great prices, price reductions, and free delivery on online orders, Carrefour addresses the genuine concerns of parents and students, helping them express a haaaaa of relief.

Complementing the TV ad are online videos and a dynamic social media campaign featuring short clips that showcase the various ways Carrefour is making back-to-school season stress-free and affordable.

The campaign extends to OOH, DOOH, and radio ads that reinforce the message with a focus on promotions.

Finally, an event activation will provide a last-minute solution for those who need it most. Carrefour will transform a bus shelter at the Louise roundabout in Brussels into a pop-up store, offering passersby free essential school supplies like pens, erasers, and snacks—everything needed to avoid last-minute panic and stress.

This multi-channel back-to-school campaign ensures Carrefour enjoys significant visibility and impact during this key time of year, proving to all parents and students that a calm and affordable back-to-school is truly possible…

Carrefour Belgium, Publicis Groupe, and Demonstr8 are taking the Red Devils out of the fridge

With just a few more Saturday shopping trips left before the Euros kick off in Germany, the streets in the Netherlands are gradually turning orange, but in Belgium, red is yet to be seen. Could it be because our "golden generation" is gradually making way for lesser-known young talents? For Carrefour Belgium, the official sponsor of the Red Devils for many years, it's high time to shine the spotlight on this promising young generation.
